MONTRAL TABS x10

Montral Tablet is a combination medicine that contains levocetirizine and montelukast. It is a very effective and potent medication mostly used to treat year-round allergic symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, itching, hives, etc. This is a widely used combination medicine in providing relief from blocked nose.

Montral Tablet stops the activity of the chemical substance that causes allergic symptoms. You may experience side effects like drowsiness, fever, rash, weakness, etc. Finish your entire course of treatment with Montral Tablet, even if the condition gets better after taking a few doses as abrupt stopping may recur the symptoms. If you still feel unwell even after completing your treatment course, inform your doctor. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are using, because Montral Tablet may interact with them.

Montral is used for relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis [seasonal or perennial], as prophylaxis in seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of comorbid asthma and allergic rhinitis in patients 15 years of age and over.

Montelukast sodium is a selective and orally active leukotriene receptor antagonist that inhibits the cysteinyl leukotriene (CysLT1), receptor.

Levocetirizine is the R-enantiomer of cetirizine. Levocetirizine is an orally active, potent, selective and long acting H1 -histamine receptor antagonist with no anticholinergic activity.

Recent studies have demonstrated that Allergic Rhinitis [AR] when treated concomitantly with an antileukotriene (montelukast) and an antihistamine (levocetrizine), shows significantly better symptom relief compared with the modest improvement of rhinitis symptoms with each of the treatments alone.

Montral is also used to associated treatment for these conditions: Allergic Rhinitis (AR)Chronic Idiopathic UrticariaCommon ColdNasal CongestionPerennial Allergic Rhinitis (PAR)Seasonal Allergic RhinitisAsthmaExercise-Induced BronchospasmPerennial Allergic Rhinitis (PAR)Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis
