Myospaz tablet is used to relieve pain due to musculoskeletal conditions. These painful conditions include sprains, muscle spasms, muscle injuries, tension headache, back pain, joint pain, etc. Myospaz contains paracetamol and chlorzoxazone as the main ingredients. It has muscle relaxant and painkiller properties.
Its mechanism is based on the painkiller effect of acetaminophen and the muscle relaxant effect of chlorzoxazone. Pain and inflammation are caused in response to an injury or harm. Your body produces certain chemicals that cause the sensation of pain, swelling and inflammation.
Myospaz works by inhibiting the action of these chemicals and eases pain and swelling. However, it also blocks the signal transmission process of pain to and from the brain and spinal cord, thus relieves muscle spasms and pain associated with it. Eventually, Zerodol MR helps in restoring the movement of muscles and joints.
Myospaz is not recommended for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Myospaz should be taken after a meal to avoid stomach upset. It should not be used along with any other painkillers.
Small frequent meals may help reduce any nausea or vomiting; frequent mouth care or sucking on lozenges may help reduce dry mouth. Do not use alcohol, prescriptive or OTC antidepressants, sedatives, or pain medications without consulting the prescriber.
